Assistant Athletic Director POSITION:                                Summer/Fall Assistant Athletic Director (1) Winter/Spring Assistant Athletic Director (1)  LOCATION:                              Western Reserve Local School District  QUALIFICATIONS:                    Coaching or athletic administration experience preferred. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work flexible hours. Display effective written and oral communication skills.  Have the mental and physical ability to perform all job related tasks. Have and maintain the required credentials to perform job responsibilities according to Board policy and state law.  REPORTS TO: Athletic Director/High School Principal STRUCTURE Assistant AD – Summer/Fall (June–Nov) Sports: Football, MS/HS Volleyball, Golf, XC, Cheer Assistant AD – Winter/Spring (Dec–May) Primary: Basketball, Wrestling, Baseball, Softball, Track Coverage expectation:   Assistants are scheduled for a portion of events (not all). Aim for priority coverage: high-attendance games, multi-venue nights, tournaments, and first home events. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: Assists the Athletic Director with (when assigned): Ticketing & Gate Operations  – Set up events in HomeTown, manage pricing, codes, and gate procedures. Prepare a basic “Gate Packet” with key information. Game Setup & Coverage  – Ensure fields, equipment, signage, and facilities are ready. Arrive early on game day and complete a “Field Ready” checklist. Supervise assigned staff at home events (grades 7–12). Athletic Workers  – Confirm worker schedules (gate, chain crew, scoreboard, concessions, etc.). Provide assignments and confirm coverage. Rosters & Officials  – Collect team rosters in advance, prepare copies, and assist with officials’ arrangements. Provide necessary game materials. Cash Handling  – Prepare cash boxes and assist with postgame reconciliation. General Organization  – Help coordinate practice schedules and maintain necessary forms and paperwork for coaches. Boundaries: AD retains:  Financials, purchases, budgets, vendor contracts, discipline, league meetings, evaluations, scheduling, sponsor relations. Asst ADs Support:  Operational readiness, workers, rosters, gates, AV checks, scheduling adjustments when necessary, and clean game reconciliation.
