MIDDLE SCHOOL MINUTES
Mr. Sauner, Middle School Principal
Hello Western Reserve Families
Hello Western Reserve Families,
Welcome
to
the
2019
-
2020
school
year!!
We
are
excited
for
another
fun
and
successful
school
year
for
our
students,
staff,
and
families!
As
the
Western
Reserve
Middle
School
principal
and
District
Athletic
Administrator,
it
is
my
sincere
pleasure
and
honor
to
be
a
part
of
the
Western
Reserve
Local
Schools
family.
I
wish
for
everyone
to
know
that
they
have
my
full
commitment
to
working with our dedicated staff to provide the best educational experience for our students and families.
As
Middle
School
principal
and
District
Athletic
Administrator,
I
will
strive
to
establish
a
clear
line
of
communication
internally
and
externally,
as
communication
is
a
vital
key
to
success
in
a
school
system.
Parent
involvement
is
also
vital
to
a
child’s
success,
and
we
ask
that
all
parents
continue
to
play
an
active
role
in
their
education.
For
that
reason,
I
want
parents
and
students
to
know
that
I
will
maintain
an
open-door
policy
where
everyone
should
always
feel
welcome
to
come
to
me
with
anything
they
feel
needs
discussed.
Please
do
not
hesitate to contact me with questions, concerns, or input at any time.
Our
staff
recognizes
and
embraces
the
role
they
play
in
helping
children
reach
their
full
potential;
they
do
not
take
the
responsibility
lightly.
They
believe
all
students
can
be
successful
and
this
belief
drives
the
work
they
do
on
a
daily
basis.
We
are
eagerly
anticipating
a
rewarding
and
successful
2019
-
2020
school
year
for
our
Blue
Devil
students
and
families.
Once
again,
I
am
so
excited
for
the
opportunity
to
work
with
the
students,
staff,
and
families
of
Western
Reserve
and
look
forward
to
meeting
and
making
connections
with
everyone.
GO BLUE DEVILS!!!!!

The middle school day begins at 7:45 a.m. and
ends at 2:35 p.m. The doors open at 7:30 a.m and
breakfast will be available. All middle school
students should report to the cafetorium on the first
day. They will meet their first period teacher and
then will receive all necessary information.
To assure compliance with Ohio

Gym Class
As you start to look for shoes to
begin the school, please consider
the safety of your child and the
others in the class. Shoes should
be tied tight and stay on their
foot. The laces should be pulled
tight and tied on the top, not just
put in the shoes. The shoes
should bend easily. Physical
education is not for a fashion
statement, we need to be able to
move freely. Some shoes are sold
without laces, some laces are not
pulled tight and I am told this is
how they are to be worn, these
are not safe for class. I would
appreciate your co-operation with
this in the upcoming school year.
Thank you to the school families
and the community for
supporting our school.
