Title IX Description
Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 prohibits sex discrimination in all public and private educational programs and activities. School districts receiving
federal funds must comply with Title IX regulations. Title IX states “ No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be
denied the benefits, of or be subjection to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving federal aid”. Western Reserve Local School District
complies with Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 and the regulations implemented through the United States Department of Education.
Formal and informal complaint procedures have been developed to provide an impartial investigation. Western Reserve Local Schools Title IX Coordinators have
participated in training seminars provided by Walter-Haverfield Law Group. The following individuals have been designated to serve as the District’s Title IX
